GAH I totally can't wait until next weekend, 'cause St. Valentine's Day is my birthday! I love my birthday, just because of when it is. I know some people with Valentines birthdays who say they hate it, but I think it's great. Anywho, I really kind of want to do something Valentine-themed, anyone got any ideas? Requests?

So today was kind of interesting- after my genetics recitation, I went to go weather Everett (since I haven't taken him out in a while). After I came back in and put him back, I was filling out the paperwork and when I turned around, Sprite (a great horned owl) was right behind me! That room is tiny, so I practically ran right into him. At over a foot tall with a sharp beak and sharper talons, it's pretty intimidating to turn around and find yourself face-to-face with a bird like Sprite. And he has a habit of staring right at you with his beak slightly open. It's kind of hilarious, actually; once you get over the whole beak/talon thing, he's a pretty funny bird.
